Music Monday: Why You Should Use Affirmations To Remember Your Truths #MindBodySoul

Why You Should Use Affirmations #MusicMonday #MindBodySoul

Whether we want to openly admit it or not, we all have those moments when we find ourselves stuck in a mental rut. We become so drowned in the ‘highlight reels’ of everyone else’s lives: celebrities, friends, family, co-workers, etc. that thoughts of inferiority seep into our minds. Before we know it, we are feeling down in the dumps, inadequate, and downright depressed.

 .Why You Should Use Affirmations

This is a very dangerous state for the mind, body, and soul—and this is also a state where affirmations can be a lifesaver.

.Why You Should Use Affirmations

Self-affirmations are extremely important to keeping your mind in the proper balance. Speaking positivity to yourself on a constant and consistent basis will help you to ward off any pessimistic and oppressive thoughts or energy that attempt to come into your space. It is definitely true that the battle begins in the mind. And whatever messages that the mind believes—whether positive or negative—affects the heart, the soul, and the body over time.

 .Why You Should Use Affirmations

Affirmations can help you:

Stay Positivea given, right? 😉

Stay Busywhen you are constantly conscious of your truths, it motivates you to get active in them.

Stay FocusedAffirmations are reminders of your truths. Those reminders keep your focus in the right direction.

 .Why You Should Use Affirmations

There are many ways to keep affirmations on hand throughout the day. Play songs or messages of empowerment. Write them out and place them in various spots around you. You can even keep a compact mirror with you to access when you’re starting to feel down. Pull it out, look into it, and speak your affirmations out loud.

.Why You Should Use Affirmations

Here are some basic affirmations you can try:

“I can do this.”

“I am worthy.”

“I am Blessed and empowered to achieve great things.”

“I am unstoppable.”

“My Life has purpose.”

“I am exactly who and what I was created to be.”

As much of a challenge as it may be sometimes, keep your mind on your real truths. Use affirmations as an aid to help you do it. Make the choice to block out potentially esteem-damaging messages, and manage your mindset to keep your confidence intact.

Remember, you always have the power to make YOU feel better. Use it.

I have affirmations hanging up all over my bedroom! I think affirmations are awesome AND necessary to remind us of what we want to become and what we are!

This post reminds me of the old Saturday Night Live bit “Daily Affirmations with Stuart Smalley.” “I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and doggone it, people like me.”

Nice reminder of how important our mental state is, when it comes to getting to where we’d like to be. I recently began writing 5-7 things that went right during the day on my calendar before going to bed.

This is good. Affirmations are important and you summed it up beautifully.

This is a wonderful reminder that what we say to ourselves can be the most important conversation of the day.
Great post.

I am a firm believer in “you will have what you say”. I blog about how to use affirmation to lose weight some time ago in my blog. Thanks for the post. I enjoyed!
