My Weight Loss Journey: Mission 24/7 And My Pledge For Better Health

Remember my whole Operation #GetBackToFit?

Yeah, well…….about that….

I have a confession to make. I’ve fallen off the wellness wagon! Not completely, but enough to gain back those 4 pounds that I lost while ago—and then some.  Totally not the direction I’d planned to take.

🙁  🙁  🙁  🙁  🙁

There are lots of excuses that I can make: the back-to-school season threw off my exercise schedule. The onset of unexpected finances made it difficult for me to continue with my rather costly diet plan. I became depressed and started to eat more. Blah blah blah. If I want to get to (and remain at) a healthy weight and get my health back in order, It is a must that I get myself back on track with exercising, eating right, getting enough sleep—everything.

Weight Loss Journey

Not just now. But right now.

.

I’ve been doing things here and there, but it’s just not enough. I seem to be in a mad cylce of losing and regaining weight. I need something more aggressive than what I’ve been doing to help keep me on the right track.

.

Soooo……

.

I have decided to do something I callMission 24/7 – that is losing 24 pounds in by the time of my next birthday 7 months from now.

 Weight Loss Journey

One of the discoveries that I have made about myself since I’ve been trying to lose weight is that a “one-way” approach does not work for my body. I’m learning that I need to try to find the right combinations of nutrition, exercise, and weight loss products that prompt a response from my body so that I can achieve the outcome I desire, which is an overall improved state of health. Therefore, during my mission, I have decided to be more open to testing out different foods and meals, options for physical activity, and programs to help lose weight.

Weight Loss Journey

The second discovery that I made is that I totally collapse without accountability! So the other part of my self-imposed mission is to do bi-weekly progress reports right here on the blog and share how I am doing with the weight loss for all of the world to see. 🙂 My hope is that doing so will keep me filled with the motivation that I need to keep at it. I will also be sharing my struggles and triumphs, and everything that I’m doing and trying out, as well as what’s working and what’s not.

 Weight Loss Journey

So there you have it! My official GO day is tomorrow! Wish me luck, and I’ll check in again soon! 🙂

To be honest you look pretty good that way to me in October but good luck with your challenge. I need to lose a few pounds myself but also need some motivation. 🙂

Terry (My Journey With Candida)

My Hubs is also on a Journey To Lose Weight. I know he has a really hard time with it. He is doing pretty well though. Good luck to you.

Christy Garrett @ Uplifting Families

Good luck on your journey. Learn that each day is a new day to start over and try again. 🙂

Meghan @JaMonkey

I hate how much women end up struggling with weight. I’m the same way. I lost 15 pounds on the Shaklee 180 program and when I stopped I fell of the wagon hard!

krystal kesson

REALLY, you still look great girl!!! I wish I looked like that! But I get it. We are women and we all have issues with our bodies. OBVS, I won’t lie, you did look a bit better in the first pic. Improtant thing is how you feel. I am the same way. I lost a bit of weight adn was on the right path and felt GREAT but yup, life got in the way. It is so easy to get off track and I am the same way. I can’t just do one thing, I need a few. I think,… Read more »

Best of luck,To be honest i do not see anything wrong with how you look from either of the pictures,I hate that people well women mainly think that they have to be a certain size,as long as you are happy thats the only important thing 🙂

Good luck on getting into better shape. I’m working on it too.

Jutta@HungryLittleGirl

24 lbs in 7 months are absolutely doable! YOU can do this! Clean eating a 30 minutes workout 5 days a week will get you there way earlier 🙂 I can’t wait to see transformation pictures!

Sarah Bailey

Good luck – I will admit it now I would love to lose weight but I just seem to put it on I love food to much *sighs* x

Your frame of mind sounds positive & determined, that’s a big part of the battle. Wishing you every bit of luck, I’m looking forward to reading about your strides to meet your fitness goals.

Dawn ~ Spatulas On Parade

Good luck. I’ve tried and failed more times than I care to count. Accountability is key. Eat less move more. Eat more healthy foods and less junk. No soda. That’s what I’ve done so far.

Frugal Ferret

Good luck with your weight loss journey — I need to start one.

Amber Edwards

Good luck with your journey! This is always one of my biggest struggles! Finding a good balance between life and taking care of my health and weight.

I am glad you’re getting what you want.
I am not sure if I like one picture better than the other.
You look cute in both of them.

Fan R @TeddyOutReady

Wishing a good luck with your challenge, I totally understand you how it is difficult. I found for myself that it was not that difficult to loose big weight (“baby weight” about 10 pounds), but now those 2 pounds requires lots of work as they come back easily.

Good luck to you and looking forward to reading your journey. If you set your mind to it you can do anything!

Megan Chamberlin

Good luck!!! At least you are holding yourself accountable, and getting started on the right track again. You can do it!

Kristen @ kristenione

Good luck! You’re definitely taking the right approach by covering all the areas. I think you have to have the right balance in all of them as well to make permanent changes. Can’t wait to see how it goes and I really need to join you!

Katherine Bartlett

Very inspiring! I wish I could lose some weight.

Courtney Pies

I love the idea of the Mission 24/7! Such a good idea! I wish you the best of luck! I know it’s not easy, as I am trying to lose weight myself!

Liz @ A Nut in a Nutshell

I think that goal is so reasonable and doable. You’ll make it, I know you will!
