
When you find yourself feeling stressed, what do you turn to? Are the ‘coping mechanisms’ that you currently have in place ones that are truly beneficial for you……or are they in fact hurting you?
Stress can sometimes cause people to turn to the wrong things in an urgent effort and desire to feel better. The reasoning used is often, “I know that ____ (fill in the blank of unhealthy act of choice) will not solve anything, but at least it will make me forget about things [or] help me to calm down for a little while.” Of course, the biggest problem with this is that those types of ‘actions’ are only temporary. They do not change anything, and soon enough you are right back in the very same place—emotionally, spiritually, and mentally—where you started..How You Cope With Stress
In this Stress Awareness Month, remember that when you find yourself feeling stressed out, take control of how you cope with it by steering away from ‘emotional quick fixes’ that only lasts a short while, and instead focusing on engaging in more long-term, healthier and holistic practices to deal with how you’re feeling..How You Cope With Stress
When stress places you ‘in the heat of the moment,’ you cannot rely on your own devices to resolve, alter, or manage what is going on for you: doing so may result in less-than-desired outcomes that may only lead to matters being much worse. Instead, keep in mind that every single problem and every source of stress that you experience in your life has a solution to it. And that solution can only be discovered when you place yourself in proper alignment to receive guidance from the Universe for not just resolving your sources of stress, but also for managing your emotions through the journey.
