Self-Advocacy Starts With You: Join the Women’s Health Breast Cancer 101 Virtual Event
Join The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) women’s health researchers and others tomorrow night, Oct. 8, at 6:30pm ET for a free webinar, titled “Self-Advocacy Starts With You: Breast Cancer 101.”
The virtual Series: “RealTalk With the Experts” provides a unique opportunity for you to gain state-of-the-art health knowledge and ask specific questions to world-renowned experts. In the session, medical experts will provide an overview of breast cancer with a focus on how women of color can be empowered through knowledge about the disease.
The primary goal of the webinar is to have women be their own best advocates for breast health. Other goals include:
- Inform and empower women to take responsibility for their health.
- Encourage women to understand their health options.
- Identify services, resources, and products that best help them prevent poor health, which reduces the number of health issues and creates health equity.
