It is that most wonderful time of year again! Spring cleaning season has arrived, and it is time to start purging out closets, getting rid of old, broken, and unused items, and de-cluttering the house. As thrilling as it sounds, we all know that throwing things away doesn’t always feel good.
We would rather see are beloved items be put to use some other way, but what can be done when things are beyond repair or cannot be donated? More importantly, how can we get our kids to part with their broken and damaged toys and other items while teaching them valuable lessons about recycling in a way that they will positively receive?
To find out, I spoke with Green Living Expert Sara Snow. Sara is host of Discovery Networks’ “Living Fresh” and “Get Fresh with Sara Snow,” and Fine Living Channel’s “Big Green Lies.” She is also author of the book “Sara Snow’s Fresh Living: The Essential Room-by-Room Guide to a Greener, Healthier Family and Home.”
Sara Snow shared some innovative new solutions for room-by-room recycling. Sara gave tips on how to handle nearly every room of the house: from your kid’s playroom to your kitchen, office, and home garage.
