Make an Impact Beyond Breast Cancer Awareness Month: How to Support Research to Save Lives from Breast Cancer
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is coming to a close – but that doesn’t mean that you can’t continue to raise awareness of women being their own best advocates for breast health.
One of the simplest and most noticeable ways to do that — while also reminding women to schedule their annual breast cancer screening — is by wearing pink and buying pink products that also support increased research, resources, and dedicated solutions for people living with breast cancer.
When raising breast cancer awareness through fashion, don’t be afraid to mix-n-match various shades of pink:
💗Be Uniquely YOU!
The goal is to spark conversation about the signs, symptoms, and treatment advances for #breastcancer, while encouraging women to get their annual breast cancer screenings starting at age 40.
Fact: #DYK more than 280,000 people are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone?
Overall, Black women have a 42% higher mortality rate from breast cancer compared to other ethnicities.
We can change that! It all starts with raising awareness of the importance of self breast checks and annual mammograms, and supporting health organizations that are leading the way in breast cancer treatment advances, research, and making mammograms and resources more accessible.
So, don’t put your pink clothing, shoes, and accessories away for the year!! Keep ROCKING YOUR PINK to help support the fight against breast cancer and to spread encouragement and positivity to those who are living with the disease.
And don’t stop contributing! Let’s support vital organizations and inspire women to harness the power they have of being their own health advocates! Together, we can make a difference!
