Keep The Beat: Learn Hands Only CPR

National CPR Week is a great time to brush up on your CPR skills.

If you’re a newbie to CPR or you find attending your local Red Cross for CPR classes a little intimidating, you can learn the two simple steps of Hands-Only CPR instead. If you witness a teen or adult suddenly collapse, all you have to do is:

  1. Call 9-1-1, and
  2. Push Hard and Fast in the Center of the Chest until Help Arrives.

You can take a look at the video in my previous CPR awareness post Here to learn the hands-only CPR process step by step.

Looking for a fun way to remember how fast you should press? Just watch the video above of a family dinner scene turned disco party as they dance to Street Corner Symphony’s a cappella version of “Stayin’ Alive”, which has the same beats per minute as the ideal rate of chest compressions during hands only CPR. Also be sure to share this important lifesaving video with your family and friends.
