Insecure’ star Yvonne Orji: Public Health Master’s Gives Her Understanding of Coronavirus Strategies (Watch)

As of July 14: In the last 7 days, COVID19 cases increased nationally with three states each reporting more than 50,000 new cases. While taking steps like wearing cloth face coverings and practicing social distancing can help stop the spread of the virus, there are some people who are opposed to doing so, feeling that such measures infringe on their rights.

 

 

 

Early in the pandemic’s spread in the U.S., the lack of adequate testing became a major obstacle. That obstacle persists in many places. Social distancing and other measures have bought time. However, most states are experiencing a record spike in case numbers, even while health experts continue to implore Americans to follow the safety guidelines – especially when it comes to wearing a mask.

 

‘Insecure’ star Yvonne Orji says that her Public Health master’s degree gives her understanding of COVID-19 strategies.

 

“I think some people don’t know what to think about the whole situation. I think people [who object the safety measures] are just confused and not sure.”
