Hands-Only CPR Lifesaver Mash Up Video

Check Out The Hands-Only CPR Lifesaver Mash Up Video: Music Can Help Save Lives

As I shared in an earlier post, If you see a teen or adult suddenly collapse, you can help save their life by performing Hands-Only CPR. In just two simple steps: 1) If you see a teen or adult suddenly collapse, call 9-1-1; and 2) Push hard and fast in the center of the chest to the beat of the classic Bee Gees’ song “Stayin’ Alive.”

Now, in an effort to spread this lifesaving message to the masses, the American Heart Association has  teamed up with DJ Earworm to create an uplifting, powerhouse  Hands-Only CPR Lifesaver Mash Up video with music that is at least 100 beats per minute – the rate you should perform chest compressions during CPR.

Talk about cool!

Because “Stayin’ Alive” has been such a successful tool in guiding compressions and spreading awareness of Hands-Only CPR, the American Heart Association wanted to take the “music can help save lives” message further for National CPR awareness week by incorporating newer songs to reach an younger demographic by creating the  Hands-Only CPR Lifesaver Mash Up Video.

Check out the Hands-Only CPR Lifesaver Mash Up Video above! You can do your part to raise awareness about Hands-Only CPR and encourage everyone you know to learn the easy steps! Just watch the video in my previous CPR awareness post Here or visit the American Heart Association website at
