I participated in an Ambassador Activation on behalf of Influence Central for the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
We all have some connection to cancer. Whether we’ve fought the fight, or know someone who has, cancer is a presence and something that requires extensive treatment, research and support.
I lost my grandmother and my oldest sister to cancer. I also have several friends who have lost someone they love to cancer, too. However it was at the passing of my sister that I decided to seek out ways that I can make a difference in finding cures for all forms — from breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer and beyond.
I believe that the easiest way to support the fight against cancer is by fundraising for causes and participating in events such as the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Presented by Hyundai, the walk has raised more than $100 million to support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s lifesaving mission to conquer all forms of cancer in children and adults.

Thanks for sharing this. Breast cancer is a horrible thing, and it can come out of nowhere. I’m glad to see people supporting the cause.
Good for you! Breast cancer is something that needs to be a thing of the past, and I think it’s so great that you’re helping to make that happen.
Living in Boston, I know TONS of people who do this walk. It’s for a GREAT cause.
It is so great that so many people do this walk for such an important cause. It is wonderful that they have different options so everyone can participate.
This sounds like an awesome walk. I love that there are so many options!
I absolutely hate cancer and unfortunately have experienced a decent amount of personal experience due to family and friends having different types. I always do what I can to help find a cure!
I love that they have different length walks/runs so everyone can participate. Even I could do the 3 mile one.
It is great having these walks and runs to bring awareness to cancer
It can be hard because too often I just don’t know what to do to help. This is a really easy way that even I can do!
I love all the options for people of different fitness levels. We shouldn’t be held back in helping by not being able to do a full marathon.
We can always use more research into cancer – all the different methods of lessening or controlling it are due to research! Every little donation helps!
I like that they offer the option to be a visual walker. What a great idea!
I need to look into this in my area. I want to do a walk/run but I always seem to miss them so I need to be more on it.
A little fundraising can go a long way. My mom is a breast cancer survivor, so this really hits home
This is so wonderful, I am glad you shared it and are being a part of it. Thanks for keeping on to help raise awareness and try to work towards supporting a cure!
I will have to see when the next walk is in my area. I would love to do a walk for Cancer research.
This sound great! I love that they have different choices so anyone can participate.
I agree completely. I’ve taken part is fundraisers and walkathons honoring friends. I think it makes people much more aware to the needs to cure cancer.
It is great that you are participating in the walk! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
