Dr. Cheyenne Bryant on Making LGBTQ+ Mental Health a Priority During Pride Month
As we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community this month, Psychology Expert and renowned Life Coach Dr. Cheyenne Bryant is committed to addressing the mental health concerns within the community and provide tangible ways to cope with mental health struggles.
During our chat, Dr. Bryant shared her firsthand knowledge of the detrimental effect that bias, hate and discrimination has on the LGBTQ+ community, as well as ways to progress towards opening hearts to educate, bridge gaps and act with love to nurture the mental health of not only the LGBTQ+ community, but ALL communities. We also discuss and dispel some of the misperceptions about including the skewed notion that loving one another is not something that is subjective nor conditional but is mandated by Faith.
In addition, we talked about her role as the designated life coach for MTV’s newest hit show, Teen Mom Family Reunion (which has already been renewed for season 2), her personal and professional goals for her parent-clients on the show, and the state of parenting today. Currently, Dr. Bryant is the only Female African American certified life coach on prime-time television and is recognized as a woman who has accomplished many successes in the field of life coaching and mentoring. Each episode features the psychology expert implementing team building exercises and private and group sessions that strike important conversations for life changing growth.
Both on and off camera, Dr. Cheyenne Bryant is known for helping individuals and families from all backgrounds take steps to build and promote positive actions in their daily lives. She is able to examine her clients’ emotions and traumas to position them for a place of understanding, healing, resilience, and positive growth mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.
