Nominate Your Teen For The @CocaCola Pay It Forward Program

I am so excited to have my second child graduating from high school this year! My oldest son Jedi has already been accepted into the university of his choice, and has a crystal-clear idea of his career plans for the future. Now, it is all about securing the finances he needs to attend college and making sure he has a positive start into the next phase of his life.

In our search for college scholarship opportunities, we found out about the Coca-Cola Pay It Forward Program. The program is designed to empower Moms and communities to help high school teens succeed. This year the Coca-Cola Pay It Forward program will award up to 20 deserving high school teens and their Mom (or other parent/legal guardian) a $5,000 scholarship and the opportunity to attend the all-new Coca-Cola Pay It Forward Academy! Located in Atlanta the weekend of July 24 -26, 2015, the Academy consists of three days of mentorship, leadership and networking co-hosted by TV and Radio personality, Steve Harvey.

The Coca-Cola Pay It Forward Program is a wonderful opportunity for any deserving high school teen and their parent! Having already sent one child to college, I know how much of a positive impact it can make when Moms stand side-by-side with their high school teen to show them that they are supported one hundred percent as they strive to achieve their dreams. And this program is a chance to do exactly that.

I will be nominating my son for the Coca-Cola Pay It Forward Program, and I want to encourage you to do the same for your high school teen! Nominations can be made until March 31, 2015. There is also a voting phase for contest finalists between May 2 – May 15, 2015.
