After weeks of summer schedules being all over the place, my family and I finally had a day that all of us would be together! With school starting shortly, we made the most of our time by heading to Walmart for the Kellogg’s Cereal Cinema Movie Night event.
There was no need for us to pack anything extra—the free event was already set up with comfortable spacious seating under stars, and pre-movie entertainment with appearances by Spider-Man and Tony the Tiger. There was also a full cereal bar stocked with over 10 different varieties of Kellogg’s cereal to munch on during the feature presentation!

Here’s what my children had to say about the event:
We had no idea what movie would be showing at the Kellogg’s Cereal Cinema night. When we saw Spider-Man walking around as we arrived, we could not help but smile! How often do you get to take photos and selfies with THE Spider-Man?! That made the night get off to an awesome start!
Tony the Tiger was there as well, and we got to take lots of photos with him too! While Spidey raised the excitement for the movie we were about to see, Tony the Tiger represented something greater—the cereal! We tried a lot of cereals for the first time that were really good! We snacked on cereal during the Spider-Man movie and was able to take our Kellogg’s bowls home for keepsakes. It was a cool event!

There were many different kinds of Kellogg’s cereals available for us to try. We could appease their love for peanut butter with Jif cereal, or get our chocolate fix with Krave cereal. There were also a wide variety of topping to choose from such as fresh fruit, marshmallows, and even fruit snacks.

I am a huge lover of Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats cereal! I had noticed that there’s a strawberry option available but had never tried until the movie night event. It is so delicious that I purchased a couple of boxes out of Walmart once the movie ended!

I combined them both together for a delicious movie treat!
It got me to thinking about how Kellogg’s cereal is a great alternative to replace candy and other sweets during our family movie nights at home. Or even at times when I desire a sweet and crunchy good night snack while I am up working late at night. Cereal is filled with protein and grains, and is typically lower in fat and cholesterol than sweets. So it makes perfect sense to me to make the change! And since Kellogg’s makes over 20 delicious brands of cereal, I never have to worry about the kids and I growing bored with flavor choices.

Since our schedules were so busy at the time The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was released, we missed the movie when it was in theaters. And although it will be available on DVD in a few weeks, it was great to have a chance to still give my family the experience of seeing the movie in a cinema-like environment with other families and fans everyone’s favorite web-slinger.

All set for the show!

The Kellogg’s Cereal Cinema crew was friendly, the cereal was tasty, and the movie was awesome. All of those together made a super-fun night for the entire family!
