My backyard retreat makeover with At Home is going great so far! I dedicated a weekend to drawing up the plan for my back porch and taking a trip to my local At Home store to purchase all of the items that I need to make my outdoors oasis become a reality.

I must admit that I was worried about being able to find items that could fit my back porch since it is so small. However, that is one of the things that I love about shopping at At Home: they have anything and everything that one could possibly need or want for their backyard makeover in every size, shape, and color. I am happy to say that all of my worry was for nothing – finding exactly what I needed wasn’t hard at all.

Since I love water, I decided that a water feature would make a perfect addition to my backyard retreat. Lucky for me, At Home has a wide array of miniature water fountains that would work really well in my porch space. It was tough to choose just one!

Of course, no backyard retreat is complete without furniture! I was happy to see all of the various designs of outdoor furniture at At Home in a huge mixture of colors and textures! Being the creative person that I am, I was glad to know that by shopping for my backyard retreat furnishings at At Home, my yard does not have to look like everyone else’s in the neighborhood. I can truly may my yard directly reflective of my own personal style and taste.

Because I am doing so much painting inside of our home with our DIY renovation, the last thing I wanted to do was paint even more on the outside. However, I couldn’t ignore the fact that our porch paint is extremely worn. The solution: an outdoor area rug that covers the entire porch floor! At Home had just the size we needed, and a ton of patterns to choose from!

Now that my shopping is done, I cannot wait to put it all together! I am so excited about it that I might just take Mother’s Day weekend to get started (who needs a day off anyways?! Lol).
